New Works

Peter Davis

In late 2011, following the success of the gallery's group exhibition of which Peter Davis was a guest, the Oliver Sears Gallery hosted the artist's first ever Irish Solo Exhibition- New Works. 

Born in 1972, Peter Davis studied at Goldsmith’s College, University of London, where he graduated with an Honours degree in Fine Art in 1993. He has had a number of very successful solo exhibitions throughout Europe and the US since graduation and his work has been included in many prestigious group exhibitions. These include From Here, with the Waddington Gallery in 1995; Peter Davis, Bridget Riley, Glenn Brown, Alison Wilding, Zebedee Jones, at the Karsten Schubert Gallery in 1995; Peter Davis, Callum Innes, Sean Shanahan, at the Slewe Gallery, Amsterdam in 1998; The Saatchi Gift in 2000; with Asprey Jacques at The Armoury, New York in 2001; in 2004 and 2008 with Lennon Weinberg in New York; and Painting in the Noughties at The Letterkenny Arts Centre in 2007.

In 2001 Peter won the West of Now Award, Holland and his paintings are included in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, Miami; The Prada Foundation, Italy and the Southampton City Art Gallery.
