It is within the remit of every gallery to bring its artists to the widest audience. For more than a decade the art fair model has been by far the most popular route to international exposure. While not wholly averse to participating in this forum occasionally, Oliver Sears Gallery chooses a different path. Allied to the principle of formal exhibition as the best method of promoting its artists, Oliver Sears Gallery has hosted major exhibitions on Fitzroy Sq, in London in large, Grade I listed, Georgian houses, hosted an exhibition in a town house on 5th Ave, in NY and continues to work with private companies, like Mishcon de Reya in London and cultural organisations, like 92y in NY, to create unique events that target dedicated audiences. Oliver Sears Gallery continues to search for alternative platforms, partnerships and venues to expand its visibility and bring its programme to a new audience.
